As an international language that goes beyond time and places, cinema offers the unique opportunity to communicate, open ourselves to different cultures and change our reality. It allows the spectator to live in different places and different times with different people.
I started enjoying this world since I was a kid. Taken by movies of all kinds, I always wished to become part of this world. When I started my studies, my passion became deeper and stronger. I discovered that movies can provide to us, humans, what reality is incapable of. I grew fond of Martin Scorsese, Charlie Chaplin, Stanley Kubrick, Federico Fellini, Akira Kurosawa, Naomi Kawase, Tim Burton, Pedro Almodovar and Vittorio De Sica. I fell for Maroun Bagdadi and Youssef Chahine whose engagement in spreading the culture of tolerance, forgiveness and difference as a source of beauty and richness, meets my personal and artistic goals.
“The dream is important, the actual achievement as well. I hope I can carry out these projects and always have new ideas, because as long as we have dreams, we are alive and we are able to progress, to mature, to grow and change the world, modestly through cinema and art.”
