Rupali is an actress who works in Bengali soap operas. The entertainment industry was under complete lockdown because of the COVID pandemic. At present, shooting have partially resumed with a small number of artists and crew members in compliance with certain safety standards. As a result many are not getting any work. Rupali's family in North Bengal are dependent on her, but she is unable to send any money. She cannot even pay her rent. She calls the programmer of her unit Bablu Da and informs him about her condition and he assures her that the situation will gradually be fixed. But Rupali does not know what she will eat till then because she has run out of food and money. She does not know who to reach out to. Rupali's maid Amina comes to meet her. Rupali had earlier informed Amina that she does not have to start work right then. She should resume work only when things turn to normal. Even if she does not work, she will get paid. However, it becomes difficult for Rupali to pay Amina's salary that month, but she promises that she will pay her as soon as possible. Amina tells Rupali that she did not visit her to get her salary. She just wanted to catch up. Amina informs Rupali that her husband has lost his job. She is unable to continue her daughter's education any more because of financial constraints. Rupali feels sad as she is helpless and cannot help Amina in her current ordeal. Amina reveals that she has brought something for Rupali that overwhelms Rupali and touches her heart.
