Confined

'Confined' is a short film that portrays the story of ennui and despair of almost every individual in 2020 since mid-March till now during the global pandemic. The government initiated the lockdown as a protective measure to control the spread of coronavirus. But the requirement of isolation was very sudden, and none of us were prepared for it mentally. The exhaustion from being confined into a small space, severing all physical connection with the outside world and the paranoia resulting from it soon took over everyone. Our desperate desire of sneaking out to the open was crushed by the fear of the virus and we were left only with the sweet memories of pre-pandemic days and hopes for a safer future. However, eventually, we had to adapt to the new angst-ridden constricted and monotonous lifestyle by getting habituated to being ‘confined’.
