On December 2018, I began a long cycling journey from El Salvador, through Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, the United States and Canada. I then crossed Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, South Korea, China and Japan.
I chose the bicycle as my means of transportation because it leaves no impact on the environment. On this journey, it has allowed me to have independence and autonomy. The bicycle is the key that opens my hosts hearts and increases their willingness to share their stories.
With a really low budget, the aim has been to visit a number of countersocieties and gain a greater appreciation for permaculture communities, co-housing systems, intentional communities, interspecies communities and eco-villages.
All over the world the consciousness is rising. More and more people figured out who we should be in order to have a better world and fix the problems we created. Community and sharing are the key words.
The search for the countersociety has led to extraordinary meetings. More than 20,000 km cycling across high mountains, arid deserts, green forests, and through pouring rain, stifling heat, and stinging snow.
