Return of Eve

Short Social

The film is an allegory with elements of classical symbolism. According to the original author's idea, in the center of the plot we see a girl in a wheelchair, who personifies Eve - the first woman on earth expelled from Paradise. The wheelchair is a kind of symbol of illness and weakness. Living in a sick and vicious society, which is clearly shown in the characters, with whom the main character has encountered in the first part of the film, Eve suddenly finds a child's drawing, which is a kind of ticket back to heaven. Disappeared in the form of a disabled person, Eve starts to run away from the outside world, from the metropolis. On the way, she also encounters warning signs, talking about the fact that on her way back she must abandon all the material temptations of the modern world (mobile phone, money, credit cards, and clothes). In the finale, we see that she, having bypassed all obstacles and avoiding the "tempter's serpent", comes to the place that was drawn by the child in the picture symbolizing the ticket. The final of the film, namely the teleportation of Eve into this drawing, symbolizes her return to Paradise. The ideas and messages that this work of art carries are, as in the condemnation of the depravity of modern society, often dominated by indifference and violence, are also in that everyone will someday be given a second chance, a chance to return to their roots, a chance for forgiveness.
